Málaga hosts several pop-up ice rinks each December, with the main rink in Plaza de la Marina, right in the city centre. Surrounded by festive lights, Christmas decorations, and seasonal music, it offers a visually striking skating experience against Málaga’s historic backdrop.
Rinks are suitable for all ages and skill levels, with skate rentals, protective gear, and staff on hand for beginners. Many locations also feature children’s areas, holiday workshops, and seasonal food stalls offering hot chocolate, churros, and mulled wine.
Operating typically from early December through early January, these rinks are open daily, often late into the evening, allowing visitors to combine skating with sightseeing or a stroll along nearby Calle Larios and the port area for a full festive experience.
