Christmas Market in Granada 2025

Granada’s Christmas market brings festive energy to the city each December, filling its historic squares with stalls, lights, and seasonal traditions. The main market is held in Plaza Bib-Rambla, where wooden huts line the square offering nativity figures, handmade crafts, decorations, and plenty of sweet treats. With the scent of roasted chestnuts in the air and the backdrop of Granada’s old town, it’s a must-visit spot during the holidays.

Another highlight is the market in Puerta Real, perfect for browsing artisan gifts, toys, and Christmas ornaments. Both locals and visitors flock here for unique shopping, and it’s the ideal place to pick up something handmade while supporting local artisans. Families especially enjoy the atmosphere, with live entertainment and festive music adding to the charm.

While exploring the markets, make time to try Granada’s traditional convent sweets, sold by nuns throughout the city, or grab a hot chocolate with churros between stalls. Pair it with a walk through the illuminated streets and you’ll get the full Granada Christmas experience—a mix of history, culture, and festive warmth under the glow of the Alhambra.
