Address: Av. Dr. Oloriz, 25, Beiro, 18012 Granada

Just a short walk from Granada’s historic center, the Plaza de Toros de Granada — affectionately called “Frascuelo” — stands as one of Spain’s most striking bullrings. Built in 1927, this 9,000 m² Neo-Mudejar masterpiece blends Moorish-inspired arches, intricate brickwork, and glazed ceramic tiles, giving it the same Andalusian soul that runs through landmarks like the Alhambra and Puerta Elvira. It’s not just architecture — it’s atmosphere.
Inaugurated in 1928 with a bullfight dedicated to Granada’s patron saint, the Virgin of Las Angustias, the plaza has since evolved into a cultural hub. Listed as a Cultural Heritage Site, it’s one of the ten oldest and most beautiful bullrings in Spain. Today, it hosts guided tours and special events through Cultura en la Arena, offering a look into centuries of Spanish tradition, craftsmanship, and spectacle.
