Plaza de las Flores Estepona

Address: Plaza de las Flores, 29680 Estepona, Málaga

Plaza de las Flores is where Estepona slows down and shows off. This palm-fringed square in the heart of the old town is pure Andalusian charm—think flower-filled gardens, tiled fountains, 19th-century mansions, and café terraces that seem designed for lingering. It’s a social hub by day and a vibe by night, especially when locals come out for a drink or a bite under the lights.

It wasn’t always this pretty. Once known as Plaza de la Cárcel (yes, there was a jail here), it’s worn a lot of names over the years—from Plaza de la Constitución to Plaza del Rey—before finally settling into its floral identity. Today, it’s home to the Casa de las Tejerinas (now a cultural space), the tourist office, and some of Estepona’s most beautiful historic homes.

Whether you’re chasing good light for photos or a seat at one of the best people-watching spots in town, Plaza de las Flores delivers. It’s a must on any Estepona itinerary, especially if you’re into architecture, ambiance, and local color—literally.
