Plaza de la Constitución, Mijas Pueblo

Address: Plaza de la Constitución 29650 Mijas, Málaga

Right in the heart of Mijas Pueblo, Plaza de la Constitución is the kind of place where time slows down—and that’s exactly the point. Surrounded by whitewashed buildings, tapas bars, and flower-draped balconies, this charming square is where locals meet, fiestas spark to life, and travelers linger just a little longer than planned.

What makes it even more special is its hidden story. After a devastating flood in 1884, local stonemason Galiano sculpted the plaza’s benches and fountain from leftover marble swept down by the landslide. It’s a beautiful example of turning destruction into design—and a reason to pause, sit, and soak it all in.
