Date for 2026 TBA (Date for 2025 was May 30th – June 1st)

For one magical weekend—this year from May 30 to June 1—Ronda Romántica transforms this cliffside city into a living painting of 19th-century Andalusia. Locals and visitors alike dress in period costume, parading through the streets in honor of the romantic bandolero era, when smugglers, soldiers, and poets shaped the identity of the Serranía. It’s part history, part theatre, and fully immersive.
This year, the festival returns to its original roots in the Alameda del Tajo, a stunning promenade overlooking Ronda’s famous gorge. Expect flamenco shows, equestrian displays in Plaza Duquesa de Parcent, and reenactments on the steps of La Merced Church. It’s romantic, photogenic, family-friendly, and a total cultural time warp.
Don’t miss the grand opening parade, workshops where you can make traditional accessories, and the open catwalk gala that invites everyone to join in. Whether you’re into history, costumes, or just love a great Andalusian fiesta, Ronda Romántica is an unmissable celebration of identity, artistry, and local pride.
