Flamenco soul meets gospel groove—Pitingo is back, and this time he’s celebrating 20 years of Soulería, the genre he pioneered by blending traditional flamenco with soul, gospel, and pop. Born in Huelva and raised between palmas and church choirs, Pitingo’s voice is as raw as it is radiant, full of duende and depth. His live shows are a multicultural celebration, where hits like “Killing Me Softly” (a flamenco-soul version), “A Puro Dolor,” and “Gwendolyne” take on new life. This special anniversary concert promises a full retrospective of his genre-bending sound, along with surprise guests and unreleased tracks.
It all goes down in Jerez de la Frontera, the beating heart of Andalusian flamenco and sherry wine, during the Tío Pepe Festival, one of Spain’s most atmospheric summer concert series. The venue? The magical Bodegas González Byass—specifically Patio de la Tonelería, surrounded by ancient barrels and lit by string lights under the stars. The setting is intimate, romantic, and unmistakably Andalusian—expect fine wine, balmy air, and a crowd that knows their cante from their coro. If you’re into music that crosses borders and stirs the soul, this night in Jerez will be one for the books.
