Ojete Calor isn’t just a band—it’s a hilarious, glitter-drenched cultural phenomenon. Formed by comedians Carlos Areces and Aníbal Gómez, this Spanish duo invented their own genre—“subnopop”—and have been turning kitsch into art since the early 2010s. Their wildly ironic lyrics and 80s-inspired beats have made them underground icons, with anthems like Viejoven, Mocatriz, and Opino de que blasting at parties from Madrid to Ibiza. Their latest tour, La Gira para Gente Seria (The Tour for Beautiful People Only), is part concert, part comedy show, all-out rave.
On June 28th, they take over Sohail Castle for one of the most chaotic (in the best way) nights of the Marenostrum Fuengirola Festival. With the Mediterranean on one side and medieval castle walls on the other, this open-air venue sets the perfect scene for a night that’s as wild as it is weird. Marenostrum is one of the top summer music series in southern Spain, known for its eclectic lineups and jaw-dropping settings. Expect a crowd ready to dance, laugh, and not take anything too seriously—this one’s not kid-friendly, but definitely unforgettable.
