Date for 2026 TBA (Date for 2025 was April 28th)

This rural gastronomic festival celebrates morcilla, a traditional Andalusian black pudding made with onion, spices, and pig’s blood. Each April, thousands of visitors head to the white village of Canillas de Aceituno to taste freshly grilled morcilla, served with local wine and bread—completely free of charge. While the event features music, dancing, and artisan markets, the food is undoubtedly the star.
Rooted in the town’s pig slaughter heritage, the festival is organized by the local brotherhood. Be sure to arrive early, as the morcilla runs out quickly and the village fills up fast. It’s a celebration of Andalusian culture and flavor that you won’t want to miss!
