Dunas de Artola o Cabopino, Marbella

Address: 29604 Marbella, Málaga, Spain

Dunas de Artola (Cabopino Dunes) is where Marbella gets wild—in the best way. Just east of Cabopino Marina, this natural monument is home to one of the last preserved coastal dune systems on the Málaga coast. With golden sand ridges, boardwalks winding through native vegetation, and sea views that stretch forever, it’s a place that feels untouched by time.

These dunes have survived centuries of wind, waves, and even the pressures of modern development. Dating back to geological processes driven by northwesterly winds, they’re now protected as part of Andalusia’s Natural Heritage network. Bring your camera, your walking shoes, and maybe a beach towel—Cabopino Beach is right next door, and the combination of ecological wonder and seaside calm is hard to beat.
